HURTS concert in Tallinn will take place next autumn
The Hurts concert at Saku Suurhall, which was originally scheduled for March 23rd, has been postponed to October 11th next year. Due to the unpredictable development and restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, there are concerns about the ability to arrange a concert of this scale in the spring, so the band decided to postpone their entire tour to next fall.
All the tickets purchased so far remain valid and the ticket sales continue at all “Piletilevi” outlets and on www.piletilevi.ee
The string of concerts is supporting the band's latest album "Faith", which was released on September 4th. It is expected that the tour of so beloved British duo "Hurts" will cover 17 countries and such different cities as London and Vladivostok.
Since May 15th, when the fans were delighted by the first single Voices, it has been followed by new compositions every month – Suffer, Redemption and Somebody. Thus, the listeners already had a pretty clear idea of what can be hidden behind the band members previously expressed “going back to the roots”. There is no doubt that to already rich list of previous hits - Wonderful Life, Better Than Love, Stay, Sunday, Blood, Tears & Gold, Illuminated, Miracle, Somebody To Die For, Blind, Surrender, Some Kind Of Heaven, Nothing Will Be Bigger Than Us, Wings, Rolling Stone, Wish, Beautiful Ones, Ready To Go - new ones will join.
In an interview with NME, the group's soloist Theo Hutchcraft explains: “We wanted to get back to the essence of what we do and who we are. We had to fall in love with the type of music we originally set out to make. We have always been drawn in by the darker elements of pop music. It’s an odd time to release it, but it feels good because there’s a message in the song that is hopeful. It’s about having the power to change and deal with those things. Hopefully people can find that in it.”
And indeed, at a time when even the release of new songs has become less common, the whole album confirms both the bband members creativity and faith in the positive and the desire to cheer up. Both the listeners and themselves.
We remind you that the duo "Hurts" was founded in Manchester in 2009 by vocalist Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson. The band's calling card has become an elegant, slightly alienated style of dress, great melodies typical of the 80s rather than today, often a gloomy but intriguing textual mood, which is accentuated by vocals pierced with aches and despair. The importance of elegant videos, which are often characterized by surprising twists and turns, cannot be denied either.
"Hurts" gained recognition immediately with the debut album "Happiness" released in 2010. Six singles from just one disc topped the various European charts. The album gained Gold status in Great Britain and Austria, and Platinum - in Germany, reaching at least the top 10 in 12 European hit shows. With the next albums, Exile (2013), Surrender (2015) and Desire (2017), the association continued to strengthen its position in the pop music Olymp.
